Merry Christmas Nativity 2006
This Nativity is the 2nd one I have done. The stable is from Gingerbread, and the other cookies are sugar cut out cookies. Some of the characters have toothpicks to help them stand up. The manger and Mary and Joseph are standing alone. I gave this nativity to my niece and her 4 girls.

Bride Doll Cake for April Fausch
This was a bridal shower cake. I started with an Angel Food cake. It has burgandy colored fruit filling in it. It was delicious and served about 20 people. The "skirt" has "lace" on it. The bride to be, her mother, and the hostess liked it a lot!

Meatloaf "cake" and Mashed Potatoes "Frosting"
This is something fun I tried after watching Martha Stewart do this on the David Letterman show. It is a "meatloaf cake," frosted with mashed potatoes. The eyes and mouth are cheese. My family enjoyed it a lot, and as Martha said, "This would be great for a children's party to keep the sweets intake down."
Just use your favorite meatloaf recipe and bake in layer pans. Make your mashed potatoes and use your frosting bag and tube to make the edging and "hair" around the edges. Have fun!
