My two nieces, Karlene and Glenda, celebrate January birthdays. The three of us sometimes celebrate together. Glenda's is 8" round double layer white cake. Karlene's is 11x7" chocolate. Both serve about 15.
This cake is "Dulce de Leche" from a Buenos Aires, Argentina cake mix, covered with rolled fondant icing. This was a project I worked on with Amy when she spent Christmas and New Year's with us. I was able to show her how rolled fondant works, and this was the first rolled fondant bow for both of us! She did an amazing job!
