Birthday Time Again!

My son's birthday 2015! He requested a strawberry cake. This 8" round, 3-layer cake has strawberries in it. The frosting is whipped topping and the writing is whipped topping tinted blue. Strawberries, cut in half are placed around the bottom edge. Strawberries are also on top. He liked it!!!

Cascading Flowers

Cake for my dear friend married in Wichita, Kansas. She chose silk flowers

cascading down the cake. 10", 8", 5.5" cakes serving about 75. 

A Farewell Cake

This is a 12x18" sheet cake, 1/2 white, 1/2 chocolate, serving 48 to 54. Also 6 white cupcakes and 6 chocolate cupcakes. This was made for a farewell reception for a church member at United Memorial Christian Church, Euless, TX. 

Beach Cake

Pastor Mary Lou loves the beach! This is a 12x18 sheet cake; 1/3 white, 1/3 Strawberry, 1/3 chocolate. It's for a surprise reception for her after church.

Celebrating 80!

Blue Velvet cake with Blueberry filling for my Uncle and Aunt's birthdays. And yes, they both turn 80 this year. Buttercream frosting.

Pentecost Flames!

This 12x18" sheet cake was made for my Church's celebration of Pentecost May 24, 2015. It is 1/3 Red Velvet, 1/3 orange, and 1/3 Lemon yellow cake. The frosting is Butter Cream. The "flames" are painted on to the cake. The cupcakes are chocolate glutin free with "flames" on them also. The cake was a hit in both design and flavor!

Cook Out!

I made another "Grill" cake to take to my church's Cook out Lunch after church Sunday, May 17, 2015. It is 8" round double layer Yellow cake with strawberry filling and Buttercream icing.

Wedding Sparkle

The wedding was April 25, 2015. The reception was in Underwood, Iowa.
The center 4-tiered cakes are half chocolate and half white with strawberry filling. The tiers are 12", 10", 8" and 6". The side cakes are 8" rounds in different flavors: lemon with lemon pudding filling, strawberry with strawberry filling, carrot with cream cheese filling, and Apple Caramel with caramel filling. The cake serves 200.

Texas Birthday

This Texas shaped cake is a Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Icing and filling. It's for my Texas Lawyer son! So proud of him!

These were all made for a Bake Sale at Texas Women's University.

Carrot Cake Birthday Cakes

These are both 3 layer Carrot cakes with Cream Cheese Frosting and chopped nuts on the sides.

 Very quick and simple to make and decorate and always tastes great! 

Both birthdays (one in January and one in July) were good celebrations!

Easter Bunny

This Bunny is Chocolate cake with white Butter Cream icing. He's all edible, except the ears which are construction paper white and pink. I made this for the children of First Christian Church, Butler, MO. We ate it after the Easter Egg Hunt on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014. It was a hit. The kids loved it, and so did the adults! 

It took one cake mix -- Devil's Food Chocolate. The body is 6" round; The head is a 10 oz. custard cup; the feet are cupcakes and the arms are a mini cupcake cut in half.

Happy Birthday Son!

This is an 11"x7" cake with a 9"x5" cake on top. It's a Banana Cake with Cream Cheese icing and filling between layers. Each cake has Cream Cheese icing filling.  We will celebrate on Thanksgiving Day. My wonderful son was born on Thanksgiving Day too!
