Flower Garden

This is a 7-inch 2-layer round Yellow Butter cake with Buttercream icing full of flowers for a surprise birthday celebration. The surprise was that the guest of honor could not attend because she wasn't feeling well. We missed her but the cake and real red roses were taken to her and she enjoyed it all!

 

Lent Saturday Breads 2026

I made bread on each Saturday of Lent as a Spiritual discipline. I shared the breads with friends and neighbors.

These are "Empty Tomb" rolls for Easter Sunday morning. When you bite into them, there is an empty space representing the empty tomb. 

Daniel Tiger Cakes!

This 3-layer chocolate and white 6-inch round cake is Daniel Tiger Neighborhood theme. It has Daniel Tiger with trees, the sun, clouds and stars wishing this two year old a happy birthday! He loved this cake that he shared with his Mama and Gramma!

This Daniel Tiger cake is half chocolate, half white 12" square cake for that same 2-year-old for his big birthday celebration with friends and relatives. Those same candles were lit and "Happy Birthday" sung again. He was delighted and had a glorious birthday celebration!

 

Waffle House

When I asked Ethan what cake he wanted for his 7th birthday, he said he didn't want cake. He wanted waffles! I made four rainbow waffles and built 1/4 size waffles inside the rainbows using whipped cream and sprinkles (and some toothpicks!). I also used my small heart shaped waffle maker. He was very pleased with his "Waffle House!" His brother, dad and I had a great time enjoying waffles with him! We had syrup, fruits and more whipped cream and sprinkles to add to them. We also had homemade vanilla ice cream!

 

Flower Cupcakes

I made these flower cupcakes with pudding filling for my friend to celebrate her January birthday at a breakfast. She wasn't up to coming to the breakfast, so another friend and I visited her at home. She loved the cupcakes and the visit! Turned out to be a well timed visit. My friend went into Hospice and passed away about one month later. I miss her a lot!
